
With over six years of experience in documentary photography, environmental advocacy, climate change, and conservation, Adebote Mayowa serves as the Creative Director at Climagraphy, a leading media outlet in Nigeria dedicated to raising awareness about climate change through visual storytelling. His work focuses on capturing humanitarian and development-related projects through compelling images and videos.
Mayowa is deeply passionate about leveraging photography as a tool for communication, education, and advocacy on environmental and social issues. He has provided visual content for platforms like Environ News and the International Climate Change Development Initiative, among others.
He has collaborated with various sectors and organizations, including UNDP Nigeria, University College London, NIMASA, FBRA, and the U.S. Mission, to produce and promote evidence-based visual narratives on climate change. Notable documentaries in his portfolio include works for the African Development Bank (AfDB).
Mayowa’s acclaimed projects, such as Black Oxygen, Methane Emission in Nigeria, What’s on Our Landfill?, and Lagos is Rising—The Sea Too!, have been widely published, exhibited, and recognized. Most recently, he received an award from the COP29 Presidency in Azerbaijan for his impactful contributions.
